Electrolysis -yes, Hydrogen ?

in fact playing with 555 timer and salt water you get Cl gas instead of hydrogen. This is custom electrolyse, what about this?
To be sure you get hydrogen you should try it on distilled water

you do not need anything but regular tap water to produce hydrogen. no distilled water is necessary nor is any chemical additive necessary to enhance hydrogen production, it is beneficial but not necessary. the chlorine in tap water will actually produce hydrogen.
