brown sludge in my hydrogen foam and gell

In 2007 i made a hydrogen generator in my garage and always produced clear white foam and gell.Wile during a move i put the generator in to storage and basicly forgot about it till just recently.set it up and filled it up as i would using regular city water from the tap.started it up and to mu suprise the clear tap water started turning brown with sludge.i have come to the conclution that there is some kind of contamitant hidden in the drinking water supply that was not there 5 years ago and the only way to see this hidden palutant is to breake it off of the water molicule by a means of electroliss, once the water molicule is split into its bacic elament the contaminent is expeld and then can be detected this could of ben done by bp oil spill to hide the oil and breake it down so we cannot see it
